Tijuana Falls Taqueria
About This Spot
Stepping into Tijuana Falls Taqueria feels like discovering a warm corner tucked away from the everyday bustle of Little Falls. This modest spot carries a quiet, inviting energy—unpretentious but full of heart—where the pace slows just enough to savor more than the food alone. The walls, subtly decorated with hints of Mexican flair, offer a welcoming nod to tradition without overwhelming the senses, inviting both longtime locals and curious newcomers to settle in and stay awhile.
There’s a sense of genuine care here, not just in the dishes but in the way the space embraces you. The atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and relaxed, perfect for sharing moments over a meal that feels thoughtfully prepared. Whether you arrive for a casual lunch or a family dinner, the steady hum of conversation and the occasional laughter make it clear this is a place where connections happen as naturally as the food arrives at your table.
The menu unfolds like a story of comfort and bold flavors, gracefully blending the familiar and the unexpected. Think of plates where the vibrant kick of fresh salsas and the richness of melted cheese come together with bright, crisp guacamole—all served alongside slow-cooked meats that carry a homestyle warmth. The food doesn’t just fill the belly; it invites you to experience a celebration of textures and colors, echoing the diverse culinary traditions that inspire every bite. These are not hurried meals but moments meant to be savored, with each dish offering a subtle invitation to slow down and connect.
Patrons often linger on the quality that goes beyond ingredients—the attentiveness of the service, the unspoken promise that your visit matters, and the comfort of finding a spot that values authenticity over flash. For many, it’s a rare gem that balances freshness, generous portions, and a down-to-earth approach to Mexican cuisine, nestled in the everyday rhythm of New Jersey.

Came to Tijuana Falls Taqueria in Little Falls tonight with a friend — an awesome little hole-in-the-wall spot that turned out to be deceivingly good. Food: I had a burrito packed with flavor, and I especially loved the Verde and Rojo sauces that gave it a great kick. My friend ordered the chicken tacos and really enjoyed them as well. Solid portions and fresh-tasting ingredients made it a satisfying meal. Service: Our waitress, Emely, was really polite and attentive throughout the meal. Service was straightforward and pleasant. Aesthetic: A cozy Mexican restaurant with around six tables and upbeat music that sets a nice tone. Parking can be tricky, with only a few spots on the side — avoid the back lot, especially on weekends.

Tijuana Falls is a hidden gem that blew me away. The pictures do not do them justice. I tried their Quesabirria tacos—so cheesy with perfectly cooked shredded beef, and the birria was perfectly made. I also had the chicken burrito bowl which was bursting with flavor. Beyond the incredible food, the service was top-notch. Our host was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The decor inside is equally impressive, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican food in a cozy atmosphere.

Best food I have ever had! I came in with my family and we all ordered different tacos to share. We had chicken, pork and al pastor and they were all incredible. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had. My daughter had a chicken burrito bowl and she said it was incredible. We ended with an order of churros which were piping hot and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar with a side of Nutella. Decadent!! Will be returning as often as possible!!

It was a bit hot out and they didn’t have the air on, but I understand to each their own. It was a bit hard to find the parking area. We already parked somewhere we shouldn’t have then we saw their mini paper sign. Oh well… ANWAY, let’s talk food. The food in general was great. The tacos were good and the birria was okay. I would have like stronger sauce for the birria. THE HORCHATA and the price was chef kiss! I will pay any day that cheap for that much. It was a sweet place to try a bit to eat.
